An evening
to celebrate the glitzy effervescence and champagne-romance of
the Austro-Hungarian Empire, as evoked by the music of the Golden
and Silver Ages of Viennese Operetta.
To flavour
the atmosphere and elegance of the music, a richly informative
narration waltzes you back in time to the diplomatic society of
the late 1800s, and the Tell-tale Tales from Vienna!
Featured composers
include Johann Strauss, Franz Lehar, Karl Zeller, Rudolf Sieczynski,
Richard Tauber and Erich Korngold.
"You
are my Heart's Delight" by Franz Lehár was sung with
vigorous energy and attention to detail by Anderson-Hall and McOran-Campbell
did a very good job on My Heart and I by Richard Tauber with his
rich baritone voice"
"...selections
by Erich Korngold and Sieczynski that caught the atmosphere of
Old Vienna very neatly throught the vibrant voices of the two
singers...a sonorous blend of the two voices"
