Gallery Three: The Messiah

Handel's Messiah: From Darkness to Light

A concept devised for four soloists, optional nativity and narrator with Harpsichord, Piano and Organ accompaniment.

"A hugely enjoyable performance of Handel's Messiah and a refreshing change to hear all the soloists sing with confidence and clear diction. I particularly liked Anderson-Hall's moving account of ‘Thy rebuke hath broken his heart’." (The Lincolnshire Echo.)

This is a perfect opportunity for small venues, churches and village halls to present an abridged version of Handel’s most famous Oratorio. Devised for Advent and Easter alike, this intimate presentation includes a selection of the favourite arias for the four soloists. Of the choral numbers, two have been arranged for vocal quartet, whilst readings from the scriptures dramatically narrate the epic events surrounding the life of Christ.
